Abstract

The purpose of the scientific article is to study the possibilities and applications of artificial intelligence in the agro-industrial complex of the Republic of Kazakhstan in order to increase the productivity, sustainability and competitiveness of the industry in the context of the digital transformation of the economy. Methodology - during the research, scientific methods such as analysis, collection and processing of initial data, statistical control and comparison, and comparative methods were used in the work on the article. Agriculture is the basis for the sustainable development of the national economy. The basic concept of using artificial intelligence in agriculture is based on its flexibility, high productivity, accuracy and economic efficiency. Artificial intelligence in agriculture is currently being developed in three promising areas: machine learning, computer vision, and predictive analytics. Foreign experience in the use of artificial intelligence indicates a high potential for the transformation of the agro-industrial complex, which can optimize production, increase productivity, reduce resource costs and reduce environmental damage. Results of the study - foreign experience in the introduction of artificial intelligence was studied, the main obstacles were identified: lack of qualified personnel, weak digital infrastructure, low awareness of farmers and strategic directions for large-scale implementation of artificial intelligence in such areas as monitoring the state of Kazakh agricultural crops, irrigation management, productivity forecasting and logistics. To realize this potential, it is necessary to solve a number of technical, legal and ethical problems existing in the field of regulation of information technology and artificial intelligence. Potential benefits such as cost reduction, increased productivity and sustainability of agricultural systems are analyzed, as well as major challenges such as lack of data, lack of qualified personnel and limited access to technology in rural areas. In conclusion, it is emphasized that artificial intelligence is able to significantly increase the efficiency and sustainability of the agro-industrial complex of Kazakhstan, especially in conditions of climatic instability and increased product quality requirements. The prospects for the development of the agro-industrial complex and proposals for its successful integration into the agricultural sector are presented.
