Abstract
In the context of digital transformation and growing requirements for sustainable development, postal companies face the need for comprehensive modernisation of their activities. One of the main directions of such modernisation is the formation of a digital ecosystem based on ESG (environmental, social and corporate governance) principles. The article considers the possibility of creating such an ecosystem on the example of the National Postal Communications Operator of the Republic of Kazakhstan - Kazpost JSC. Given the vast territory of the country, uneven population density and social importance of post offices, the introduction of ESG principles requires adaptation to the specific conditions of regional development. The aim of the study is to develop a digital ecosystem model that takes into account sustainable development, social inclusion and environmental efficiency. A step-by-step algorithm for ESG strategy implementation is presented, including impact assessment, prioritisation, implementation of energy efficient and inclusive solutions, digitalisation of logistics and partnership development. The role of the government as a key partner in the implementation of ESG initiatives, especially in terms of financing and institutional support for digitalisation, has been substantiated. The approaches proposed in this paper are in line with international standards, including the recommendations of the Universal Postal Union, the UN Sustainable Development Goals and OECD methodological documents. Special attention was paid to the possibility of scaling this model to other Central Asian countries, which opens the way to the formation of an interstate digital postal ecosystem. The results obtained have theoretical and applied significance and can be used in strategic planning of postal industry transformation.
