Abstract
The article deals with topical issues of employment among the youth of Kazakhstan. The purpose of the study is to analyze the youth labor market and identify the main problems. In the course of the study, methods of comparative analysis, structural and horizontal analysis based on statistical data were used. The originality of the study lies in the analysis of youth activity through the prism of youth participation in the workforce, by field of activity, indicators of self-employment and level of education. The indicators of youth unemployment in Kazakhstan and other countries of the world have been studied. According to the results of the study, it was determined that in addition to the problems of unemployment, there are acute problems of the quality of the offered employment, which require indepth study, since the quality of employment provides the necessary income and stability. The authors also identified barriers that prevent young people from entering the labor market and create difficulties in finding employment, thereby noting the importance of state participation in the effective formation of the youth labor market.
